Curse Broken!

KMC Inline secured their playoff ticket as they took down the Blue Devils 7-5.

"NO cupcakes if we don't WIN!!" President Eric Helgeson told the Eagles before the 3rd period of the inline game today against the Blue Devils. Kim Sacchetti, Adam Sacchetti's wife, was sweet enough to bring cupcakes to the game today!

The Eagles used those cupcakes as motivation to win their last regular season game to secure their spot in the Playoffs. However, it was a nail biter of a game and had players and fans on the edge of their seats!! We have played the Blue Devils 3 other times this season and won the first game and lost the last game, so this was more than just making it into the playoffs, this game was to show who the boss was.

The Blue Devils came out fig ...Read More

Inline takes down Longhorns

It was almost "unbearably" hot for the Eagles, as temperatures were in the mid-90's.

If it's in the 90's, you better win the game!

And that is what the Eagles Inline team did today against the Longhorns. This is the third time this season we have played the Longhorns. They were the first game of our season and we won 10-6, and the second game we tied them and Brock Gowie pulled through in over-time for a 5-4 win. It may have been in the 90's and they have only had 2 extra guys, in inline there are 5 players on the rink-a goalie, and 4 players. So needless to say, it was a hot and tiresome day for the 7 players but they did not allow that from stopping them as they stopped the Longhorns from winning with a 8-5 win!

It was Jim Linnehan ...Read More

2013 Viking Challenge Epicness

Taking a break from the heat to pose and show their team spirit.

The Eagles participated in one of their favorite charity events of the year, the KMC 5/6 Viking Challenge!

The KMC 5/6 Viking Challenge is a 24 run/walk-a-ton that last for 24 hours, noon-noon. The Challenge is hosted by the KMC 5/6 Council, which is a private professional military organization, comprised of KMC staff and technical sergeants who provide mentorship to NCO's. All money raised goes to the various organizations such as the Lanstuhl Fisher House, USO, Club 7, and the Wounded Warrior project.

We had a great turn out this year of walkers, runners, well-wishers, and even donations sent online to those who could not make it. The Eagles went strong for the whole ...Read More

2013 Zweibrücken Tournament Journey

Eagles Red and White pose together before the 3rd place game. Saum never smiles.

Eagles participated this past weekend in the Zweibrücken Tournament and it was the first tournament of the 2013-2014 ice season. The Eagles switched it up this tournament by doing a draft instead of sending E1 and E2. A month before the tournament, a poll was set up on Facebook allowing all the players and fans to vote for who should be the 2 team captains.

The winner for Team Red was Tim Duffy and the winner for Team White was Tom Holmen. The players participating in the tournament met at one of our favorite hangout, De Belgian Bistro, the weekend before and our 2 captains selected their teams. In order to decide who would get to pick the first player, we went to something ...Read More

KMC Pressure Snipers to Victory

KMC gather around star goalie Nick McLean after he stoned all three Snipers shooters in the shootout.

It was a nail biter of a game as the Eagles took on Bob's Snipers for the 2nd time this season. KMC did fall against the Snipers last time they met, so a victory over them today was even sweeter!

The Eagles started the game off scoring within the first 2 minutes of the game!! Eric Helgeson had a beautiful behind the net pass to Brock Gowie who surprised the goalie with an up close shot over the goalie's glove! The Sniper's did manage to slip one in, but it does keep the game interesting and the boys on their toes!

After a few line changes, it was time for Brock to get back on the rink and he had determination to get his 2nd goal of the game. Eric Helgeson saw a seam an ...Read More

KMC Zooms Over Vikings

The last time Lutz played goalie may have been 30 years ago, but you could not tell one bit!!

It may have been a gloomy, rainy Sunday afternoon, but KMC did not let that stop them as they had a victory over the Vikings 11-4!!

This was a game of SLAP SHOTS!

It was newcomer Jeff Roberts who started the Eagles on their victory march with a slapper in the top right shelf. The Vikings did manage to slip one in to tie it up; however, the Eagles were not going to let the game be tied for long. It was amazing teamwork as Josh Krape had a slapper at the point that bounced off Jeff Robert's chest and went in!

Josh Krape followed with a beautiful slapper at the point that landed in the top right shelf.

Mike Altigieri launched a slap shot from point that the ...Read More
