Eagles 3 definitely has come together this year.
KMC 3 traveled to Viernheim Friday night to take on The Incredibles in a rematch of the first game of the season. In that matchup, even though the game started out close, The Incredibles came out on top 6-3. The Eagles showed early on that they weren't going to be pushovers in this league. This game was different, however.
KMC took the lead in the first period with a goal from Todd Lutz, the Eagles leading scorer. Lutz carried the puck from center ice all alone and tenaciously grinded past the defense and beat the goal tender for the first goal of the game. Shortly after, The Incredibles answered back to tie the game.
In the 2nd period, The Incredibles took th ...Read More

Eagles 3 now know what it feels like to be on the winning end of a blowout by beating the Wiesbaden Vikings B 9-4 in a friendly in Mainz today.
The team arose early on a Sunday morning to make the drive and play some early morning hockey. The Eagles brought 3 full forward lines and 2 defense lines however, we lost center Steve Cotta early in the first period due to an ankle injury. We found out later to be a broken bone right above his ankle.
The game didn't start out so well for the Eagles when, early in the game, the first line dominated possession in the zone but couldn't put one in. Then Wiesbaden broke out quick, beat t ...Read More

Heidelberg had many great opportunities to put the puck in the net, but Justin Bunton shielded all of their attempts.

Alex Miller showing his seriousness with his new Mohawk!
Last night all three of our Eagles teams played games.
Our Eagles 1 played the extremely talented Russian team Kristall. With only 9 skaters (after Brandon Martinez got in quite the fisticuffs after being 2-shotted from behind in front of the net), the Eagles 1 held on to win 3-2. Goals were scored by Jordan Seelye, Tim Duffy, and Mark Aube. Our goalie, Ryan Flanagan, was a wall, stopping shots left and right! Great 1-0 start boys!
Eagles 2 drove about an hour and a half to the notorious ice rink in Wiesloch. Also with only 9 skaters, they dominated the game, beating Eisberg 5-1. Tom Holmen popped in two goals (he probably could have had 5), Jake Curtis drew first blood ...Read More
