Friday Evening: As the eagles arrived in Dordrecht, mostly tired from the 4.5 hour car drive they were greeted by tournament volunteers and organizers. We had an early game not long after the our car ride and arrival to the arena against a Zortermeer Outlaw team that was clearly firing on all cylinders, Josh Taylor had already made it clear in the close loss that he had come to not only win but bring the whole tournament to a different level with stellar play in net.

KMC just finished the Zweibrucken victorious as they won all six of their games, including the Championship game against a stacked Zweibrucken team!!!

The Championship game was a nail biter, but the Eagles persevered through many "harsh" penalties to win 2-1.

Brock Gowie scored the game winning goal during his last tournament before he leaves us to go to Canada. He represented the organization by accepting the championship trophy on the team's behalf.

The organization will definitely miss you Brock!

The schedule for the Eagles 1 and Eagles 2 teams heading to Amsterdam has been posted on our calendar.

The Eagles 1 team category color is red and the Eagles 2 category color is blue.

Most of the games are later in the evening so there might be a few late nights for us.

Jamie Jordan has scheduled a friendly game with the German team at Bitburg for the 10th of Mar.

The E1 team beat the Heidelberg Knights, 7 to 3. With outstanding refs and a short bench, the boyz managed a heavy scoring second period to take the lead that the Knights never recovered. Stay tuned to more hockey as the new round of dates come down from the league.

The KMC Eagles are Champions of the 2012 USAFE Ice Hockey Tournament for the 4th year in a row!

KMC started off the tournament playing the Baden Bruins, but they started off hot as they beat them 12-3.

They continued the roll as they went on to beat Wiesbaden and Stuttgart, winning their tournament pool and guaranteeing a bye.

Moving into the medal games, KMC faced the Shape Shields and we were able to pop 5 goals behind the two-time goalie of the tournament, beating them 6-0 with an empty netter in the end.

Eagles and family members. Zweibrucken will close April 4th and reopen on 1 July for summer ice. Depending on the interest, Eagles may reserve a session once a week to keep players ready for the fall. More to follow...
